SHUTTERBUGS
In this course we will be exploring many things that relate to photography! We will be shooting landscapes, still lifes, people and simple action scenes. We will be using 35mm cameras which will be reloadable and reusable. Throughout the course we will compiling our imagery to put together a fun book which will be handcrafted by each K Camper
(Disposable 35mm cameras, film, and developing will be provided)

YOGAWORKS
In this workshop, we’ll explore and discover the mind and body in inspiring, creative ways. Through animated poses, basic stretching and movement exercises, you’ll gain strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques will teach you how to concentrate, relax and focus inward. The aim of the workshop is to stimulate the imagination, promote creative self-expression, instill self-respect and respect for others, and release energy. A typical class includes Breath Awareness, Sun Salutations, Standing and Sitting Poses, Stretching, and Relaxation. The integration of art, yoga games, and music add to the fun and adventure of this ancient practice. This workshop will be taught by accredited instructors from YOGAWORKS of Westlake Village, one of the nation's leading Yoga centers.

ANIMAL DRAWING AND PAINTING
K Campers will learn to draw and paint their favorite animals from dogs and cats to icky toads and snakes through the use of color, shading, composition, and perspective. In this workshop campers will utilize colored pencils, markers, and blending stubs.....sponging, spattering, and soft wash techniques to produce a series of masterpieces as they create animals in a whole new light.

NATURE OF ART
Experience the WOW when Art & Science join together to create an enriching, magical, mysterious adventure into the world of Nature. Simple scientific laws are brought to life before your child's eyes to create intriguing works of Art. All lessons blend art, science & nature.

EXPLOR-A-RAMA
It’s magically mysterious and it’s everywhere! It’s Nature!  Learn about weather, the anatomy of a rainbow, the scoop on animal tracking, and primitive art from around the globe.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT AND DANCE

This magical workshop brings in elements of dance along with creative movement. K Campers will participate in creating original dance/movement pieces to be presented at the end of the session for family and friends. This summer K Campers will use thier imagination and help create an "Under the Sea" themed performance! This workshops is designed to enhance each child's creative process while encouraging independent thinking and group cooperation. Original music adds to the fun!

ELECTRONIC ARTS
Learn beginning art on the computer! K Campers will create pieces using KidPix.  They’ll learn different styles of art by creating their own projects in styles such as impressionism, pointillism, abstract art, collage, cubism, and realism.

NATIVE AMERICAN ARTS
The lives of the Native American Indians were captured in their artwork, which features the resources of the land, and how they used them. Gain some insight into Native American cultures by working on some projects inspired by traditional crafts. K campers will use natural inspirations to make a Haida button blanket, Mayan weaving, Plains Indian beaded bag and a Tlingit totem pole. Each project will tell the story of this great culture, and how they used these items in their everyday life.
