Camp del Corazon is a non-profit organization that provides a medically supervised, unique summer camp experience for children ages 7-17 who are living with heart disease.

It's one of very few camps with a medically trained staff and the ability to give their campers an opportunity to finally be ‘normal,’ to forget their ailments and to connect with others who have had similar experiences and scars. |
| For some it's the only experience they have away from home, as they are often too sick to go on vacations or to even stay overnight at a friend’s house, away from their parents, who have to monitor their health on a 24-hour basis. |

For the past 12 years, Camp del Corazon has offered this special camp program free-of-charge to families with children affected by this disease. Their main camp is located on Catalina Island and last year served approximately 400 children! |
| There is much attention paid to adults with heart disease, but virtually nothing for children born with damaged hearts. These kids live every day knowing that they are at a high-risk for mortality. |
