David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in 1975. His vision of starting a series of comprehensive summer arts program for young children began 11 years ago when he saw a need for an alternative to traditional summer day camp programs. He brings his creativity, enthusiasm and love of children to each program he creates.

ELIZABETH PARAVICINI
Site Director - Valley Village Campus
Elizabeth is currently working on her Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Learning & Liberal Studies at Cal State LA. She holds an AA degree from FIDM in Visual Communications, which gave her a passion to pursue her teaching credentials & the Arts. She has worked with children of all ages for the past fifteen years through volunteer programs, tutoring, teaching math & science, coaching, and running the LA's BEST After School Enrichment Program at Monlux Elementary for 10 years. She devotes herself in being part of programs that cater to creating positive, loving and creative environment for kids! She has a love and passion for Education and the Arts like no one you've ever seen! She enjoys providing children with amazing leadership opportunities where they can lead activities & events while learning how to problem solve, in a safe, loving environment where kids can just be kids! Elizabeth will always be happy to answer any and all questions you may have about our program. This will be her 9th year at the Art Camp and is super excited to see all the new and returning campers this year for another fun and unforgettable summer!

ASHLEY CROSNER
Site Director - Agoura Hills Campus
Ashley earned her Bachelor of the Arts degree, majoring in both Communications and Theatre Arts, from The University of Arizona in 2003. She then earned her Masters of the Arts and Cross Cultural Communications degree from National University in 2007. She has worked with children for the past twelve years through camps, volunteer programs, coaching, tutoring, and teaching! She has a background in Education, a love for the Arts, and a talent for working with children!
Her goal is to positively influence children who attend The Summer Art Academy with her originality, sparkle, and creativity! This will be Ashleys 5th summer as Site Director, and she is looking forward to many more!

Marie Washington
Teen Director - Valley Village Campus
Marie holds the AA degree in Art History from Los Angeles Valley College and is currently a student at California State University of Los Angeles. She is no stranger to teaching and working with kids of all ages. For the past 6 years, Marie has been a valued member of our Art Camp staff which taught her the importance of patience, organization, communication and teamwork. Maries varied background as a supervisor for young teens in LA's B.E.S.T. program and knowing many of the C.L.'s and C.I.T.'s at Art Camp from the past, provides her a wonderful starting point as our new Teen Director. Passionate about her new position and its possibilities, Marie can provide a variety of resources that will help our C.L.s and C.I.T.s to excel in their training as future counselors and respected staff members at camp!

Niki Scheppers
Teen Director - Agoura Hills Campus
Niki earned her Bachelor of the Arts degree, majoring in Elementary Education, from Loyola Marymount University in 2005. She then earned her Masters of the Arts degree, in Literacy, from New York University 2009. Niki has successfully worked with children (ages 4-15) for the past 13 years through teaching, volunteering, tutoring, and summer camp! Her love of art and her passion for teaching has brought Niki to The Summer Art Academy, where she hopes to provide teens with a positive learning experience. She can't wait to meet all of The Art Camp's AMAZING JCITs and CITs! Niki is very excited for the opportunity to facilitate training, offer support and conduct workshops to those teens that will surely enable them to become young leaders. This will be Niki's first year at Art Camp and she couldn't be more excited to join the staff as Agoura's new Teen Director!

Shaunna Lucas
Teen Leadership Director - Valley Village Campus
Shaunna is currently studying Biological Anthropology at UCLA. Despite this scientific leaning in her studies, she has a long abiding passion for the arts, studying technical theatre at Van Nuys Performing Arts High School and Art History at Los Angeles Valley College. Her love of art and of teaching was influenced significantly by her parents both of whom are actors, artists, and teachers. This will be her third year at the Summer Art Academy and is excited to begin working with the JCIT's and CIT's teaching them Leadership skills in weekly workshops thoughtout the summer. Shaunna is also excited to have the opportunity to help parents and campers with any questions they may have regarding the program in the Camp Office.
