DAVID WOHLSTADTER
Director; "The Big Cheese"
David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in 1975. His vision of starting a series of comprehensive summer arts program for young children began 9 years ago when he saw a need for an alternative to traditional summer day camp programs. He brings his creativity, enthusiasm and love of children with him to each year of summer camp.

ELIZABETH PARAVICINI
Site Director - Valley Village Campus
Elizabeth has loved the arts and working with teens as long as she could remember. It is the influence that three great teachers at Thomas Edison Jr. High had in her life that has given her the passion and love to involve herself in programs that make a difference in working with kids. She currently runs an after school enrichment program called LA's BEST at Monlux Elementary. She devotes herself in being part of programs that cater to creating a postive, loving and creative environment for kids. That's why she has continued her commitment with the Summer Art Academy. She started out working as a counselor and has taken on a bigger role now as Site Director. Elizabeth will be more than happy to answer any and all questions you may have! This will be her 7th year at the Art Camp and is super excited to see all the new and returning campers!

ASHLEY CROSNER
Site Director - Agoura Hills Campus
Ashley Crosner earned her Bachelor of the Arts degree, majoring in both Communications and Theatre Arts, from The University of Arizona in 2003. She then earned her Masters of the Arts and Cross Cultural Communications degree from National University in 2007. She is a credentialed teacher who is currently teaching Drama at four different elementary schools located throughout the San Fernando Valley. She has worked with children for the past twelve years through camps, volunteer programs, coaching, tutoring, and teaching! She has a background in Education, a love for the Arts, and a talent for working with children!
Her goal is to positively influence children who attend The Summer Art Academy with her originality, sparkle, and creativity! This will be Ashleys 3rd summer as Site Director, and she is looking forward to many more!

Minerva "Minnie" Contreras
Art Camp 101 Director
Minnie is currently working on her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chicano Studies, with a minor in Child Development. For the past eight years she has been working with children in an educational environment. She has worked for the enrichment afterschool program-LAs BEST- at Telfair Elementary and Victory Elementary. Minnie is now working as a tutor for Carney Educational Services. As far as she can remember she has found sheer joy in working with children in order to inspire them to achieve their goals. Minnie enjoys providing a safe, loving, creative, and fun environment for young children. Thus, she is looking forward to begin her second year as the Art Camp 101 director. One of Minnie's pleasures in life is seeing the smiles on the faces of the children she has learned to love.

Alicia Bruckman
Assistant Director - Agoura Campus
Alicia is a camp aficionado. She hails from the Bay Area where she developed an unrelenting passion for the arts. She has worked with kids of all shapes and sizes for seven years. Alicia is committed to building an environment where children are free to explore new boundaries, unleash creativity, and add a little color to their lives. Alicia trained in classical acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She holds a B.A. in Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley. Alicia cant wait to spend her first summer with all of the amazing Art Academy campers! Spit, Spot!

Marie Washington
Teen Director
Marie holds the AA degree in Art History from Los Angeles Valley College and is currently a student at California State University of Los Angeles. She is no stranger to teaching and working with kids of all ages. For the past five years, Marie has been a valued member of our Art Camp staff which taught her the importance of patience, organization, communication and teamwork. Maries varied background as a supervisor for young teens in LA's B.E.S.T. program and knowing many of the C.L.'s and C.I.T.'s at Art Camp from the past, provides her a wonderful starting point as our new Teen Director. Passionate about her new position and its possibilities, Marie can provide a variety of resources that will help our C.L.s and C.I.T.s to excel in their training as future counselors and respected staff members at camp!
