Each and every summer, we are humbled to see so many children (and teens) enroll into The Art Camp and Teen Camp programs. It is a true joy to see their smiling faces, and to give them high fives, and we absolutely LOVE making positive camp memories. We believe that The Art Camp experience is one of joy, creativity and discovery. The Art Camp truly is a community, a family.
And, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce The Art Camp's offical closure for summer 2020.
The Art Camp has always prided itself on creating a safe atmosphere where parents and guardians are comfortable, and kids are happy. We know that parents and guardians are trusting us with the well being of their children, and we take that very seriously. That being said, due to the global health situation, we have decided that it does not feel safe to continue with our day camp this summer. COVID19 threatens the thing we care about most... our camp community. We simply will not risk spreading the virus to our campers, their families or to our staff.
We sent out an email in April with the hopes of running camp with modifications. However, we have been waiting for updates from the CDC, WHO, ACA and LA County Dept of Public Health regarding day camps and guidelines and restrictions. We are still waiting, and with camp being a month away we didn't feel as though there would be enough time to prep and prepare. We also wanted to give you plenty of advanced notice.
Please know that closing camp has been an extremly difficult decision that was not made lightly. This is Elizabeth's small, seasonal buisness and the financial loss is tremendous and devestating. However, we are committed to issueing refunds to any families who have already enrolled and paid. Even though Art Camp can't happen this summer, we are pivioting and already starting to plan for SUMMER 2021. We will continue to update you with Art Camp news. We can't wait to see all of you soon. We know it will be GLORIOUS. Just remember....
